Pest Control Charges

Just wondering if any other Craicnetter living in Ireland has experience of this please ?
We need to get pest control in as we have seen rodents in the back garden.
I am terrified of them.
I was shocked when I got a quote from Rentokill for €530 - it entails 3 visits.
I didn't think it would be sooo expensive.
Any other reputable pest control companies you would recommend that wouldn't be so expensive ?

Sorry, I dont know how the councils work there, here they come and put boxes out, for free. (England).
If you can see any holes in your earth, fill them in. Move things around in the garden, they hate change. Don't put out bird seed or feed the birds. They will be looking for food since it got colder so remove anything edible.
They hate the smell of pepper, so you can sprinkle that, but I found the other tips more helpful.

Thank you for replying but I will have to pay privately- our council do nothing if you are a private homeowner.
Hoping a Dublin Mumsnetter might have a good recommendation.
