Posting from UK to Ireland

Hi. I'm hoping someone can advise me.

My DD has just gone to the Galway Mayo border for a project for 6 weeks. One of her friends has left her coat here and I was hoping to post it on to her.

However post Brexit I've had problems posting to in-laws in Spain. Things don't get through customs and get returned.

Is it like that posting to Ireland?

What is the best way to get the coat there please?

Honestly? It's a nightmare. I've had friends post stuff to me from the UK and it often incurs a surcharge or a customs charge or gets sent back. You could look on the An Post website. A courier might be better?
