I have great memories of going to see Aslan as a teen. May he rest in peace.

I wasn't an Aslan fan but he was a legend, carried the cancer with amazing dignity. And it's effing hard to do that .

They've been playing 'This is' on all the radio stations as a tribute to him. Such a great song that has really stood the test of time. RIP Christy

I'm a former 90's teen in NI listening to Aslan, The Shining, Something Happens etc.

Always dismissed The Script as a bit naff but this has proved me wrong. The camaraderie and respect is so infectious.

Even sadder knowing that Mark Sheehan, their bassist has died recently (just before Christy 😢)

Christy seemed sound. No pretentions. And Danny (given that he's famous) is fairly down to earth too. RIP Christie.

Ah, that's so sad. I lived in Finglas in the early 2000's and saw them play many times. Will blast out Crazy World on repeat tonight!
