My partner is currently out of work but is extremely well educated and had all his degree paperwork etc. I was wondering if there is such a thing we're you can mark exams for the EA . Does anyone have any advice as to how I'd find this out ?

It's too late now but it's usually teachers or recently retired teachers who have taught that spec in the last 3 years so they know the content inside out.

Surely the fact that he can't find this information for himself isn't the best first step?

I've literally just heard someone telling me about it ( I didn't get details though unfortunately) I was really just asking if someone knew a specific website that I could look at

They are looking for exam invigilators at the moment. Try a supply teaching agency for this.

As you're on Craicnet OP I'm going to assume you're taking about Irish exams. Here's a link to the State Examinations Commission website with info.

Although from my brief scan it looks like you need to be / have been a teacher. Best of luck to your DP with finding something he enjoys.

You have to have relevant teaching experience (recent 5 years) of that particular exam board Then you have to do the training as well.

Hi op. As pp have said, he would need to be a teacher to do it.

I agree with invigilating - I work in exams at a (English) school and we are desperate for invigilators. Contact local schools and see. Not sure how Irrland works

He won't be able to mark exams, he needs to be a teacher for that, but invigilating, supervision, readers etc for junior and leaving cert don't need to be teachers. Contact local schools, although they were recruiting furiously over past month so may be filled.
