Just to give you a heads up.

This may or may not be relevant to people in the UK too. It's just that I'm living in Ireland so I checked the prices on Irish websites.

I received an email this morning from Boots this morning with a "Buy one Get one Free" on many many types of vitamin supplements.

My daughter takes the Vitabiotics "Well Teen Plus" brand of vitamin supplement and I decided to check the prices on just two websites before considering placing an order.

The other site I checked was Holland & Barrett.

Boots are charging today - €24.49 for a box of 56 tablets. H&B (who I should add are doing a 3 for 2 offer) are charging €18.99 for the exact same product. That's per box of the product.

That's truly opened my eyes on really shopping around. Even a few seconds online can save lots of money.

It's always worth checking prices - shops rely on people unable or unwilling to check. Morrisons has Maryland cookies at 2 for £2 or 75p each!

Price difference is crazy here at the moment @LookItsMeAgain. For example a sinus spray that's €12.99 in H&B on 3 for 2 is €8.50 in Inish Pharmacy so you could get 3 cheaper there! You have to check everything constantly.

Chemist Warehouse are worth a look for vitamins to compare prices too.

Not to derail - but what kind of products are cheaper in general in the big supermarkets?

A lot of stuff seems to be exactly the same price as Supervalu. Last time I went to Lidl I got cheap dog food. I'm 20 miles from a Tesco or Lidl so I don't get in often!

Solgar Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen 30 tablets :
Chemist Warehouse €30
Holland and Barrett €47
The Health Store €48
Nourish (health shop). €43.25

I'm in Dublin and can shop around.
Got them in Chemist Warehouse - I'd prefer to have the extra €13 to €18 in my pocket.
I really do try to support Irish companies as much as possible but €18 is a lot of differenceSad
