Lidl - waste not want not boxes

How do you get one? Are they already in boxes in the store or do you have to order them online? We eat lots of soups and smoothies and for 3 quid a box this sounds fab.

I've seen them just left near the checkout. You have to be quick though, be one of the early customers.

Last time I saw them in my store they were after the checkouts and I couldn't be bothered to go out of the shop and back in again.

Some shops are ridiculous with placing things AFTER the checkouts. I dont know a single person who goes out and comes back in again.

I will never be in lidl early but good to know anyway :)

I haven't been in Lidl recently so haven't seen them but Aldi is one of a number of places such as supermarkets, cafes, Centra, butchers, bakers etc who are signed up to Too Good To Go.

Just download the app and check where local to you are doing it and look at the times to reserve a surprise bag worth €12 or more for €3.99, some places €4.99. You have to be quick because they go so fast. I managed to reserve 2 - different days and you collect it at a specific time the following day. You pay when you reserve it.

I got a good one once about six weeks ago. Since then I've checked on the way into the shop (they're after the checkouts) and only seen one twice, both of them full of too much of the wrong things. But I live in hope.

yes they are after the checkouts in my LIDL too. I don't see them often, they probably get snapped up early doors, but the one I did see left me underwhelmed a couple of spuds, a couple of bruised apples and a browning banana. Not undamaged or worth €3 IMHO. It was the last one there though so the other one might have been good.

I got one on Saturday, ca 9.30. Very good mixture, all in good nick and including a pepper, some chillis, an avocado, a courgette, a bunch of bananas, some easy peelers, some pears - I'll have a look later and see what else. I think the other time I got a box it was also a Saturday morning.
