Anyone given birth in Drogheda?

Just wondering if anyone has had a baby recently in Drogheda. I'm going to give birth there in June. Considering a caesarian but unsure. What's the maternity wing like?

Twice but the last was 2018. The staff were amazing. Facilities old.

Thanks 😆 eek, hope the facilities aren't too old.

I hear it’s a good hospital. Very good breast feeding support too.
Can I ask why you’re considering a C section?

Hi @SoyMarina this is me again, just with a name change. I had a c section with my daughter as a result of placenta praevia. I'm now 41 and thinking I'll just go with what I know. I don't have experience of a vaginal birth.

I don’t know about c sections at the Drogheda but know my sister had 2 babies there by vaginal birth. She couldn’t praise it enough.
Especially the breast feeding support before she was discharged as she’d had her first baby elsewhere (in Dublin) and was appalled and upset by the lack of breast feeding support.
