Sabina Higgins strikes again and causes a diplomatic incident. Both Michael D and Sabina were very slow to reply to the questions being asked over it hence the whole thing is dragging on over a week.

She makes a fair point tbh. No war ever ended without a ceasefire. The politicians complaining about it were presumably in favour of a ceasefire in Northern Ireland.

They seem to have forgotten that we are a neutral country and not at war with anyone. But then some of them make no secret of their view that we should join NATO / The Commonwealth etc.

I can't stand either of them.
I think they consider themselves national treasures.
Having said that I don't think she meant to cause offence. She didn't think things through.
Overstepped, the mark particularly putting her view up on the official Áras website.

She made sense.A ceasefire is needed. She is also entitled to her opinion.

It was a very ill thought out statement that only gives the Russian ambassador something to cling onto.

a ceasefire and new territorial lines drawn would only be the start of a new wave of human rights abuses for Ukrainians that the rest of the world will ignore because “the war has stopped”
