How come Longitude doesn't sell out

DS just decided with his friend that they were going to Longitude today and there were tickets available even though I was sure that there wouldn't be. DH got the short straw and has gone to drop them off, I don't know what the traffic is going to be like, I might not see him again until August. Grin

DS2 told me it had sold out but when it came round some people couldn't go and had to sell their tickets at a massive loss. His friend got one last minute for half what he paid!

Ds bought Friday’s ticket directly from Ticketmaster, so I wonder if people had returned them for resale. There was availability for every day and for multi-day. He went for free yesterday as his friend had won two tickets and gave the second one to him.

DS really loved it, he’s been to concerts before but not festivals.

Because it’s not Féile.

I've just Googled Féile, it started the year that I left to live in London which is probably why I don't know much about it. They had some great acts.

@BlackAmericanoNoSugar did you ever go to the Fleadh in Finsbury Park?

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 03/07/2022 18:02

No, I never did go to the Fleadh, I probably should have though.

It used to be a good day out.

I was at the Fleadh a couple of years — I think 1998 and 1999? Van Morrison, Sinéad O’Connor, Billy Bragg, Barenaked Ladies, Mary Coughlan, Altan. Seriously good day out.
