Ireland - family attractions for summer trips

Hi all,

Hoping for some help with some days out for the summer.

We're in the midlands and have 2 DC 8 and 3.

Tayto park with a one night stay in a hotel is so expensive 😳its around 500 for a night in mid september!

Suggestions of any lovely beaches or parks,farms or castles that we have bring a picnic too would be most welcome.

We love Wexford heritage park, gorgeous location very interesting exhibitions and the kids love the birds of prey. Haven't paid in a while as it is usually included in hotel package, Riverside Park hotel. Enniscorty.

Birr Castle science Park is supposed to be good. Castlecomer adventure Park looks good too.
