I hope you can help me. I'm based in the UK and my relative is based at home. My relative is having trouble using the account despite having the funds to do so. I've troubleshooted the bastard account and have now lost patience with it. Is their an alternative I can use?

You've not given enough information. What are your criteria?

An account / app whereby I can transfer pocket money to a minor and monitor where the money is spent, and transfer money etc.

Did they activate it properly? First time they have to make a purchase with the pin.

What exact problem are you having with Revolut junior? We’ve been using it for a few years so might be able to help.

If you have Apple devices you could look at Apple Cash. I’ve never used it though so no idea how well it works.

What exactly is the issue you're having?
Junior Revolut is set up on an adult's account, and only that adult can add/delete funds to it.
Also PP is right, you need to activate the card before spending in a shop, but that's not the case for online purchases.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I'm going home tomorrow and I'll see if the account has been activated

You can also add a second adult to the account as a guardian and they can also top it up and withdraw from the junior account. Nobody else can transfer funds into it however.
