I'm going to write down my recipe for brown soda bread for starters. You can't beat a slice of it with proper butter and a cup of Barry's Tea

A recipe is a great idea!
I've drafted ours this evening. It's quite basic. Who we are. What we like doing. Then I've wrote a little at the end that remember you are loved. To be yourself. That I hope life is good to them.

I would love to read something from my great great grandparents. I've traced one person back to 1840s.

When we installed a new kitchen in our old house we put a large plastic bag on the the top of the to the ceiling cupboards, in it we put, a copy of the local newspaper including the property section , a copy of the Mail and the Telegraph (for contrast) a full weekly shop receipt from Sainsburys and a petrol receipt. Petrol was 70p a litre in those days and we thought it was shocking.

Appreciate you can't do this on this occasion but some price guidelines might be an idea, also tell them that the price of petrol was X amount cheaper before the invasion of Ukraine.

Yes that would be good. To give a sense of what life is like. We cannot attach anything or add photos or pictures.

I saw that suggested earlier and thought it was a great idea. A few marks in the sand (or words in the capsule) will be useful when it comes to assessing who turned out to be on "the right side of history".

I’ll write about the Irish media too. How they have tried to whitewash this whole issue.

@Carriemac as you said does the media in Ireland think that those of us in possession of XX chromosomes are a bit dim?

I intend to ask them if the is a Metro in Dublin yet!!!!!

Do you have to write in block capital letters, or is it okay to write in your own handwriting?

I wrote it in my own handwriting but not joined up.
