Bono's poem

Words fail me.........

Awful. I'm embarrassed for him.

He's got no shame though.

No shame but a huge sense of self importance. A competition in ptimary school would have gotten a better result.

I can just see him delighted with how he got the words to rhyme.

I bet Paul Muldoon is green with envy.

I googled it to read it just now, and yeh, that's embarrassing.

Parallels with Putin too. Nobody would be flung in jail for 15 years for saying Bono, that's too lame, don't. Sit down, just listen.

But still, nobody counselled him out of promoting his poetry.

It sounded like something a student would write in the Junior Cert exam 🤣

Was abroad with work a few weeks ago and U2 came up in conversation with someone asking how Irish people feel about them. I said that while there were mixed feelings on the music, pretty much everyone is united in considering Bono a total bellend. Seems like I was right on the money!

I always wonder if anyone ever says "ah no Bono - thats shite" to him.

Yes! That's my point. Luckily he's not invading countries, he's only writing poetry but it comes across that he doesnt invite or respond well to f3edback doesn't it!?

I’m in a couple of Facebook groups the Irish members love him! They must be the minority? I’ve been a fan for nearly 40 years but I’m English I don’t count from what I gather when in Dublin they either love or hate them as a group, thousands of people walking to the stadium to their concert someone taped a board up at their house window and had wrote on it “U2 are shite”
