Does anyone have any info about what happened to the Captain Cook homeware store that was upstairs in Castle Court near the Donut Tree about 20 years ago?

Googling doesn’t help.

I bought a set of pans there when I went away to university in 2003 and they were amazing. One of them is still going strong, 8 house moves, three cities and 19 years later! I’ve always wanted to track them down but can’t find out what happened to them

Don't know but you've just reminded me how much I loved Donut Tree.

@AmbushedByCake I think it’s the reason why I’m fat

Just had a look there myself as I remember them but can't find anything either 😕 I wonder if Castle Court could tell you if you emailed them?

Remember Spoils?

It was like a whole store of the Lidl middle aisle fare as fair as I can remember

Captain Cooks in Castle Court was owned by Ulster Stores Ltd. The company also had stores in Ballymena, Lisburn and Portadown. Sadly they’re all closed now too, but they also own Moores of Coleraine and The White House, Portrush which are still open. Both of theses stores still have cookshops in them. Hope that helps.

Oh my goodness I’ve only just seen this, thank you so much @FountainOfUselessKnowledge
