New thread as other is nearly full now.

Get them dry in the west while you can - I was hoping to go there next week but, while it cools down it stays mostly dry on east coast, but long range forecast from Met Eireann is for rain everyday in the west.....

(I also have to repack up my office again, despite only getting a "permanent" office 4 weeks ago, as we need to move to accomodate extra staff....I had 7 crates and 5 file boxes to empty out and am still working through the last 2 crates...so I might have to do that instead of taking extra leave).

@BiddyPop you can take whatever Met Eireann says with a pinch of salt. We have our own separate weather system over here that will not be predicted

BBC NI weather forecasts are much more accurate the Met Eireann which typically throw in most types of weather for any given day.

Marty was chuffed about it.

Marty (the real one!) was on our plane back from Edinburgh at the weekend - he's looking well. And he also had the same suitcase (from Supervalu with tokens!) as us!! 😁

DH and myself had a makeover on The Afternoon Show/Open House or whatever it was called when Mary Kennedy and Marty were the hosts. While we were waiting in our dressing room before going on air Marty was walking about and when a group of children were in visiting the set of a children's show they spotted Marty and they were so excited and he was so kind to them. He's also very funny.

I like a bit of Marty in the Morning...on Lyric FM!

I tuned in for a few minutes before the news last night. I saw two of the lovely girls. One of them dipped Daithí into a barrel of icy water. How he didn't yell, I don't know.

I can't watch more than ten minutes of it at a time. It makes my teeth ache, much like eating an actual box of Roses.

That water wasn't cold.

I watched last night and will probably watch tonight but I think last night's batch of lovely girls were more boring than normal.

Yeah, I suspect there were 2 buckets with 1 bag of ice between them, and the rest of the water was more lukewarm than cold in the barrel. But it was just what I needed last night, light, happy, non-cynical.

He probably climbed in and it was up to his knees 😄

There's a story about a wallaby who escaped from Glenpark Estate in Tyrone and someone in the comments wrote Slán Awallaby 🤣

The owner was interviewed on Newstalk earlier.

Whatever about the wallaby I'd have lost my life if I was the home owner in Dublin who found a snake in her kitchen this morning, the owner has since been found.

I'm having a good look in the toilet before going since I heard that.
