Did any of you see the interview with Charlie Bird on the Late Late? It was very brave of him to bare his soul like that. I hope he gets to do his Croagh Patrick walk again. I wonder why it's so important to him?

I was a little confused by the story about the man he saved from suicide. Was Charlie due to interview him that day or did he just get talking to him by chance? Poor Charlie got a coughing fit when he started telling the story and Ryan kind of glossed over the rest of it. Anyway, glad the man is still here.

It was a very poignant interview. He has deteriorated so quickly. I did think it was a little weird all the colleagues, etc. saying nice things about him (although what they were saying was lovely) - was as though he was already dead.

Yes, @Joolsin that thought crossed my mind too. But I guess it's nice for him to hear those things while he's still with us.
