A bit of a niche question about Miwadi

I'm hoping someone might know. In our family we like the blackcurrant flavour purple top (the one with stevia) Miwadi. It has suddenly changed flavour, I'm hoping it's just a batch error and not permanent. Does anyone know?

That's a very specific question! I don't know the answer but I feel your pain - hopefully it's not permanent! Maybe contact the company directly by email or social media to ask?

I'd forgotten I'd asked here. I think it has turned out to be a faulty batch. I contacted MiWadi and they said they hadn't changed it and asked for the batch number. So last night we bought a new bottle which has a different batch number and that tastes as it should. The MiWadi woman has asked us to keep a small amount of the 'bad' bottle as they might need to test it.

I'm not sure if all of the food industry does this but one time we had a dodgy mozzarella, tasted fine but much harder than usual, and the company asked for a photo of the batch number because they keep some of every batch for quality control. So they checked their sample of the batch and found that it was also too hard. So presumably MiWadi can check their own sample first and then ours if theirs is fine.
