Woodies and DID not dispatching

I ordered online from both woodies and DID over a week and a half ago and have heard nothing since the confirmation email. I should have just gone to Homebase or B and Q but was trying to buy Irish.

Anyone having similar issues. I don't expect instant service but most other sites keep you updated at where they're at in the process.I've tried to contact both but heard nothing , I'll have to start a charge back soon as I've the painter booked in and no paint.

I've seen posts saying if you DM them on twitter it's often the best way to get a prompt response.

I got both dispatched after threatening charge backs, the recent DID reviews are atrocious, I wonder if they're in trouble

DID have the reputation of promising delivery in a few days then once you buy said item it tends to take weeks.

DID used to be great.

Power City ?

Not surprised re Woodies.
I'm often in my local one and have never seen any management about.
Woodies have such a dominant place in the market - they could do with having a loyalty card.
Their garden furniture offerings are very poor for such a big player. Really disappointing compared with Rathwood and other places.
Because they would have the volume, the products would be cheaper.

I wouldn't recommend B&Q at all at the moment - have you been there recently? Huge gaps in stock, their distribution is run through the UK and they have almost nothing in. We wanted to get basically more of a lot of items we'd got from them previously: one product they are no longer stocking (which is a massive pain as it means the colour of something else won't match) and they were almost entirely out of screws (!) They confirmed its all a UK/Brexit issue.

I have had stuff delivered with DID before and found it broadly in the time promised but I would check it was 'properly' in stock at the moment. - I'm pretty sure my tumble drier I thought was 'in stock' actually still needed to be ordered by them. Woodies I always go in as I find their website unhelpful. In general though, I've had huge issues with lots of places with delivery, notably IKEA. I think its all down to the supply chains. I'm really preferring click and collect if at all possible.
