When are your secondary schools back

Just found out ours is back on the 6th, others seem to be back next week. Ours always seems to be last to start and first to finish. Not sure how they make up the days.

The 6th is very late. Do they have some classes in before that? eg first years?
Ours back on 1st which is late . Saw some heading off to another school today..

We’re the 6th too. They’ve had a solid seven weeks off and it’s been bliss.

@Whataboutlove first years are back on 2nd for two hours. Then all in together on 6th.

@MsAdoraBelleDearheartVonLipwig only 7 weeks, are they going into first year? my DS is going into third year and has been off since 28th May.

All our students are back in school on Thursday the 2nd

My 4th year is back on Friday and 3rd year back on Monday. It's only for a couple of hours each for covid training, timetables etc... not bad full time for lessons til 2nd.
6th is very late, is it a private school?

@MsAdoraBelleDearheartVonLipwig that's odd how come they got such short holidays ? It's been weird this year with some schools heading back since yesterday and others much much later. Our primary have been finished since June 25th and back on the 1st but most primaries seem to be going back on Monday . I love them heading back mid week it eases everyone in nicely.

Mine broke up on the 16th July and go back on the 6th September, so technically seven weeks and two days. I thought that was a nice long holiday! Their old primary school, where I work, broke up on the 21st July and go back 2nd September so they only get six weeks.

Thurs 9th here!!! State school in England, year 9. Apparently due to staggered start / Covid testing but seems ridiculous to me after everything they missed last year.

Forgot to say we are also a state school in England. Year 8 and year 10.
