Hi
As above ... myself and my exh from whom I am separated with no formal agreement, decided on a maintenance sum that reflected the day to day expenses f the children . We decided to split the big ticket items eg education costs/ Christmas/ orthodontics etc ... except he won't pay them now. He lost his job at the beginning of covid so he couldn't pay which was fair enough. Took a mortgage break but had been working since second lockdown.
His argument is that a lot of the expenses that were included in the original maintenance sum didn't happen through covid ... grinds / childcare/ activities etc. My argument is that he wouldnt have the children as his affair partner was moved in ( for the sake of his mental health he said) and my household bill costs went through the roof as well as entertaining them etc .
So here we are ...
I'm preparing my affidavit of means with my accountant . I've messaged my exh a number of times to remind him of the approx e2000 that he owes me personally but he is ignoring me .
Have I lost this money? What can I do? I'm using my savings to fund the excess for the children .... meanwhile he is saving e80-100 per week and tells the kids how poor he is ... see my post on AIBU ...
I'm running out of savings that I need to spend on my shortfalls for the future . I'd appreciate any advice that you may have Thanks
