Hi

Has anyone travelled from Ireland to Scotland or vice Versa recently?
My sister is hoping to travel to Scotland to see me in 2 weeks but I’m confused on the rules for the Common Travel
Area
Does she need a negative test both coming here and when she goes back home?

As far as I know she will definitely currently need one coming back into Ireland. It has to be a PCR test taken within 72 hours before the flight. They will check she has evidence of this at passport control.

She then needs to do a 5 day quarantine back in Ireland whereupon she can take another test via her GP to end the quarantine early. I think this one is free.

Not sure on the rules going into Scotland however.

Thanks for that link, I’ll pass it on to her.
