Penny's have announced they opening by an appointment from 10th May prior to full reopening on 17th. It is smart otherwise they would have to wait until 17th.

Anything keeps queues of last year down is a good idea.

I never thought I would see the day I thought an appointment for pennys is a good idea.

How do you make an appointment?

Dublincailin · 01/05/2021 09:41

I’m actually excited for it to be opening. My DDs have had 2 lockdown birthdays and Christmas, they have been itching to go on a shopping spree with their money. They have just turned 7 & 9 and this is the first time they have actually asked to go shopping for clothes themselves.

We are also new to Ireland so I’m not sure where are the best places to go shopping, but I do know Penny’s so I know it will be perfect for them.

By the way, where are the biggest Penny’s stores? We are not far across the Kildare border from Dublin.

@Bid876, Liffey Valley would probably be closest to you and its 3 floors to probably the biggest. Enjoy your shopping. My girls are 10 and 13 so dying for Penneys.

Has anyone managed to book an appointment? I've been waiting for ages now and I'm still showing up as "over 3 hr wait"...I might give up at this point...

Bid876 · 07/05/2021 16:26

Thank you @Mammymar x

They request that only on adult turn up per appointment.

Dublincailin · 07/05/2021 17:11

I was at 3hrs for about 30 mins. It just suddenly dropped to an hour

Now my time was 39mins when I started this post and it has gone back to 47mins

I don't think they can tell time

Has any one been back to the stores? What was it like? Was there plenty of stock??

Aloadaballs · 12/05/2021 16:47

I was in yesterday @LookItsMeAgain , lots of stock. Nothing too exciting tbh, I was after vest tops and leggings , my friend in another part of the country said her penneys had loads of stuff reduced but not much reduced in my one.
It only took me 30 seconds to book online and my friend was in the queue for 2 hrs!
