Northern Ireland nonsense

Just been watching the NI news over the last few days and feeling utterly depressed at the amount of nonsense and political point scoring going on. Young police officers trying to deal with covid and getting caught up in this mess with SF. SF winding the whole thing up rather than trying to maintain calm, paramilitaries running about round East Belfast intimidating people and then Gregory Campbell making idiotic comments about Songs of Praise. I really do despair that twenty years since the Good Friday Agreement it is all still a farce.

You forgot the masked men in East Belfast

No I didn’t. I said the paramilitaries.
I am just sick to the back teeth of all of them and why they can’t behave like normal people.

Oh and dissident republicans shooting each other last week too. Another high point.

And the former DUP leader saying they should just collapse Stormont if the Northern Ireland protocol isn't scrapped Its beyond my comprehension how Brexit turned out to be such am own goal for them.

On a positive note our vaccination programme is flying along. Just for balance!

And to be fair most of us DO behave like normal people....

We don't have politicians. We just have 2 bitter sides who only want to score points and promote their own agenda.

Threatening to collapse Stormont in the middle of a pandemic! If they don't want to govern they should hand over to someone that does.

It's just unfortunate that there isn't a single party that is interested in governing the people and leading the country. It's all about appeasing the paramilitary factions and winning/fighting a united Ireland.
