DH just got a text identifying him as close contact. What is the latest process?

Anyone who has been in this situation recently what is the procedure? He literally got the text now through the HSE tracking app, however the person who is covid positive was identified on Jan 29th, why so late in contacting close contacts.
Anyways DH will isolate but we gather by the text he is not getting called for a test?

You only have to isolate for the remaining days so he can come out of isolation on 8th Jan.
Only he has to isolate unless he has symptoms.... he can get a test but I doubt you will have results before the end of the isolation period so unless he is showing symptoms I would just sit tight 😄

I was notified at 7pm on the 9th day that I had to self isolate until midnight. Complete waste of time 🤷🏼‍♀️

Motherhenhall, thanks for explaining he thought it was for 14 days. You're right it's ridiculous, he's no symptoms & has been going about his daily buisness, crazy contacting him so late... Omg that's unreal you had to self isolate for 5 hours?
Dh has no timescale on his

It is 14 days, I think 10 is the U.K.
