Slowly losing a bit of weight along with will to live and gamely getting DH to take photos every few weeks. Apart from the fact that leggings and a vest are no way flattering on me, I have reached the conclusion that I really need a bra intervention. The camera don't lie!

When shops reopen - where would you recommend for a fitting?

Can you measure yourself for an idea of size?
Try boob or bust website

I tried that before and got a bit befuddled, but I can give it another go. I'll have a look for the tape measure in any case!

Any TK Maxx, M&S or Arnotts would be your best bet. Henry Street has one of each.

They might not do bra fittings if we go back to Level 3 because of the whole touching thing. Give them a ring before you make the trip to be on the safe side.

Well done on the weight loss tooSmile

M&D arent great for fitting as they often add inches to the back size giving a bra too big in the back and too small in the cup

M&S*

Lingerie shops ?

AnnieJ1985 · 03/02/2021 19:50

Yeah, I reckon if could be a while before I can actually get it done, but I was thinking more along the lines of a lingerie shop rather than M&S or similar. Didn't know TK Maxx do fittings.

Does anyone know/recommend any specific bra/lingerie shops? I've never been to one in Dublin before

here This shop is in Kilkenny. I have heard good things about the virtual fittings but I haven't tried myself yet.

There’s a place called Peaches and Cream on South Anne St.

Brown Thomas do fittings as well if you wanted to go all posh. Ann Summers on Henry St if not.

Outside of the city there’s an Ann Summers in Blanchardstown shopping centre.

Another bra shop called Change in the Omni Shopping centre in Santry (terrible name for a bra shop imo).

Arnotts. Make a booking, and they'll do a fitting. www.arnotts.ie/inspiration/fashion/bra-fitting-guide/

I found them discreet and patient as I wanted to try loads for comfort.

SIL lives in Stillorgan and I've been with her to Stillorgan Shopping Centre where there is a lingerie shop called Contour.
Obviously they are closed right now due to Covid19. Apparently they do Bra fitting.

There's also the very expensive and exclusive Susan Hunter in the Westbury Centre in Dublin city. I've never been in there. Smile

Thanks for the suggestions - I will investigate fully when we can get out and about again. Hopefully by then I'll have lost a few more lbs (although not if it means we're locked down for longer, I am not that selfish 😉)

Don’t go to m&s, they told me I’m a 36D, I’m. A 28G. I found Arnotts good.
