Streaming movies in RoI

In my attempts to join the 21st century I’m trying to work out how to stream movies. We have Netflix but sometimes want to watch a particular film or series.
I’m happy to pay- I’m not asking for anything illegal. I had an Amazon prime trial but there was still loads I couldn’t watch and I think I tried google play but couldn’t get it to work.
One or other of them didn’t like my credit card because it wasn’t from a U.K. bank
So I was wondering what others are using?

Same problem here re non-UK credit cards and Amazon TV. It’s very irritating.

We usually use either our Apple TV box (which connects to the TV and through which you can rent/buy movies via your Apple account) or through the sky store on our sky box.

You can also get movies through a chromecast, fire stick or some other devices which connect to the TV but I haven’t used them personally.
