Virgin Media Ireland Customer Service

Just a warning. Virgin Media Customer Service office is currently closed - so it says when you ring to speak with a human.
Dire service, which I'm currently paying for.
I can't get through to them and I haven't heard back from them after texting.
Is Sky any better ?

Oh God, I feel your pain.

Almost impossible to get a resolution to even the simplest question- and as for trying to cancel! oh.dear.god.

I dont get annoyed easily but they are so frustrating

Sky? Took a month (after they took my money) before they definitively told me that they couldn't provide a service to my address.

LadyEloise · 10/07/2020 09:10

Oh dear. So Sky are no better ?
Although neighbours have Sky so it's already in the area.

Same- I can pick up my neighbours Sky wifi throughout my house.
But, somehow Hmm they couldn't connect me....and took a month to decide that, while I waited for a new internet connection.

Having abandoned Virgin [sigh].

A supervisor was to phone me today about Virgin Media cock up but they didn't bother.

We have sky tv and broadband. We find them both good. Had our first problem with Sky Tv last week and although it took a while to talk to a human and then get an engineer to the house the issue was resolved.
They are expensive though but other alternative for us is Virgin Media which I have heard numerous complaints about regarding their customer services

chartreuse · 15/07/2020 14:49

We have Virgin which is pretty good actually, faster broadband than Sky in our area at least. I have found that if there are any issues you get a much quicker response via Twitter, if you direct message them.

LadyEloise · 16/07/2020 10:05

Thank** you all.
The supervisor never did get back to me.

Sky customer service WAY better than virgin. Sky team are in Ireland and you can speak to a human in aBout 5 mins.
Virgins are the other side of world and always echo when they finally pick up - about 40 mins minimum obvs.
Would never have virgin ever again!
But by FAR the worst customer service is EIR!!! I be had to do an official complaint they are so awful 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I'm in Scotland, we have a virgin call centre about 12/13 miles away, my cousin works there.
Her advice was to phone after 5/6pm and you'll more or less be guaranteed to speak to someone local than other side of the world.

I have only had to do this a few times and always been someone based local I have managed to speak to.

Funny you should say that about Eir. My friend is having terrible trouble with her mobile since moving from Eir a couple of weeks ago. She can't receive any calls.
Which is a major problem obviously with a mobile phone.
