What are your thoughts?

I'm thinking that they will leave a huge gap in many shopping centres and there currently aren't any other stores that are of scale that could slot in to those areas in the shopping centres. I thought they were doing well in Ireland (but they clearly weren't).

My heart goes out to the Debenhams workers.
Perhaps Dunnes will go into the Frascati centre in Blackrock Dublin

It's devastating for all the staff.
I can't see anyone big enough to take over all their stores. I'd hate to see their store on Henry street (Dublin) empty, I remember it as Roches Stores - there was nothing you couldn't get it Roches Stores!!

I'm sorry for all the staff; this is a bad time to join the job search market. Sad

Unfortunately not a surprise

Is anyone else still getting the emails with sale details from Debenhams?
Just wondering if they would still honour a purchase when we know the stores aren't going to reopen and if not, why are they still sending the emails out?

I liked Debenhams in town, but I so rarely go into town.
I liked the one in Blanchardstown too.
The one in Frascati wasn't great.
