Dublin crèche/ nursery

Hi, I’m moving back to Dublin after 7 years living in London. I have an 18 month old and am looking for a full time place for her from
January. I’ve contacted about 50 crèches/ nurseries/ Montessori’s in and around Dublin 6 and 4 and they all seem to be full, and most have no waiting list. Has anyone come across this problem? Apologies if it’s a common problem but I just assumed we would get somewhere. Any advice or help would be very welcome!

Yes it’s a big problem, particularly with under ones, but under threes to a lesser extent.

I was in a similar position to you a few years ago. We had more luck when we were on the ground and able to knock on doors in person.

The other option is a minder. Usually they come to your house and you pay cash in hand.
