2.15 on a Sunday afternoon and 3 gardai manning a speed trap on a dual carriageway which is notorious for having a 60 kmh limit (and gardai doing speed checks).
Winding, twisting country roads have speed limits of 100 kmh.
I'd prefer two of those gardai to be off fighting real crime - the scourge of drug fuelled crime and the awful events in Cavan/ Fermanagh or be on speed / drunk driving checkpoints at nightime.
But its easy money for their fine collection targets.
Like shooting fish in a barrel.
I had high hopes for the new commissioner...
