Everyone I've spoken to today has been as sad as I am that we aren't getting a duvet day tomorrow. Oh, Lorenzo, you promised so much...

(I know, I know, it's easy for me to be flippant here in Leinster, I'd hate to be out in the Aran islands right now)

I'm in Munster, it's raining but there's hardly a breeze so far. I was hoping for a day off work tomorrow but it's not happening.

One of the parents at school is on the national emergency planning committee...there was nearly a petition going home from 4th class Grin

There were a lot of wistful references to Hurricane Ophelia at work today.

It's starting to get a bit wild out there now.

Well speaking as somebody who has just had to live through my relatives being incommunicado for 3 days in the Bahamas whilst we wondered what was happening to them I am extremely glad to live in this country....

Fortunately they were all ok and minimal damage sustained to anybody's houses but they've still not got drinking water back on.

Speaking as someone whose son works for Electric Ireland, I was thrilled Lorenzo proved to be nothing more than a damp squib!
