Allergy help - bread

Hi my daughter has a soya and dairy allergy. I really struggled to get bread on my last visit. The nearest supermarket will be SuperValu. Could anyone tell me if the know a sliced loaf I could buy?

Are any of these available in SuperValu? I know what to get in Waitrose but my last trips the same brands were not available. It would be a 70 mile round trip to Tesco.

I meant say 70 miles each way. It would actually be easier to just make bread.

Your best bet might be freshly baked bread from South Asian or Middle Eastern bakeries that don’t use soy starters. Where are you based? I might be able to give you recommendations.

We eat spelt bread from Soul bakery which is sold at SuperValu. It is dairy and soya free. It's really delicious, maybe call ahead to make sure the branch near you sells it.

I will be in a very rural area that will not have Turkish or Middle Eastern bakeries.

Taking bread is not really practical.

I can make bread but am on holiday and just wanted a break to be honest. I could buy a bread maker but if a ready made one is available it is obviously a cheaper option.

I wouldn't want to bake bread on my holidays either, I know what you mean!

Maybe give them a call and they should be able to tell you where you can buy it. I also buy it in large Dunnes and DonnybrookFair branches in case you are passing one on your journey

Btw, it comes in a brown and white version, both are good, but the white is the nicest I think

This is dairy free but I'm not sure about soya though you can check the ingredients listed down the page.
