Well this is fucking awful. A man who has assaulted multiple women and children is to be housed with the most vulnerable women in the state, some of whom have their children with them.

Jesus Christ. So he was more than happy to assault women but not so happy to be on the receiving end. and instead of deciding he would benefit from a taste of his own medicine the government are putting him in with the people (women) he likes to assault?!
It's a disgrace

Women and their children . If they have the resources to have a two guard detail on him in the common areas, why can't they do that in the men's prison?

I'm going to start writing to my tds about this.

It's beyond bonkers.

What most people don't seem to realise is that "A sex offender who is currently undergoing a male to female transition" might have undergone the major transition of painting their nails pink and using lipstick.

No surgery, no hormones. It might be as small as "call me Jean, not John".

These are the clowns who are wrecking will wreck transgender rights.

Turns out the prisoner has had no hormone treatment or surgery. And doesn't want any.

Sounds like the crimes were committed as a man and he was arrested as a man. While waiting for trial, the sex offender got a GRC by simply self-identifying as a woman which is a very straightforward process in Ireland.

Wonder if you have to declare pending court proceedings in Ireland as part of your GRC application? Probably not.

Fuck sake. I don't have much time for Peadar Tobin but at least he asked the question. I know there no chance any of my TDs would.
