I kinda liked the blundering idiot. He sort of had us at the worst time for a long time...

My two favourite clips of him

critical about what?

Bansheezus · 06/07/2019 14:38

Oh critically ill. Hadn't heard.

Thump · 06/07/2019 14:39

Health is critical - i.e. he's touch and go to survive. Brain haemorrhage.

Reading between the lines of that article he's both a smoker and drinker plus has always been overweight... 59.

No, he's never looked the healthiest of men.

c75kp0r · 06/07/2019 14:40

If it wasn't for singing too close to the microphone, his singing isn't bad at all - good man for making the effort

Thump · 06/07/2019 14:41

He was probably critical of a fair few things in the dáil in his time lol, but now, tis himself that's critical...

@c75kp0r It's when he sings the word 'shore' from the line 'Paddy's green shamrock shore' that he goes all outta tune!
We used to knock great craic outta that clip.

Sorry, it's 'store' he goes haywire on! Long time since I listened to it fully

I remember at the time it was like seeing your boss drunk at the Christmas party taking the microphone lol.

My friend's husband is from Offaly. I met BC a few times. He was a nice guy. Hope he can recover from this.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 07/07/2019 00:02

I can’t believe he’s only 59, I thought he was a lot older. I hope he makes a good recovery.

beanaseireann · 07/07/2019 09:23

I can't stand him because of what he and other politicians did to the country. Playing golf with top bankers and saying they never discussed banking issues. Yeah right!

But I wouldn't wish ill health on anyone.

honeyrider · 07/07/2019 23:31

I cannot stand the traitor, maybe if he wasn't drinking so heavily he'd have had a clearer head and made better decisions as taoiseach. My sympathies go out to those who died or lost their homes as a result of this man's actions.

mamaraah · 31/08/2019 20:09

Isn't this the man who's drinking made it onto American tv ( Jimmy kimmel I believe)

honeyrider · 31/08/2019 20:24

Yes, he was pissed as a copy, late for a radio interview and when the station eventually got hold of him it was a car crash interview. No wonder the country went tits up when those in charge had big problems with alcohol.
