Airbnb in Dublin

Which area would you chose to say for a few nights with kids?
Dc are 12&14 so can walk decent distances and it would be nice not not take loads of buses/luas

I'm guessing Templebar isn't a great place to stay unless you're there for the nightlife?

There seem to be loads of apartments saying Grand Canal area but I can't honestly work out where that is and if it's a good place to stay?

Any pointers would be appreciated!

Grand Canal dock is a nice area, very close to the city centre, I'd definitely go for that over Temple Bar

You can walk to the city centre from Grand Canal. There’s a dart station there too.
