Will be going either Saturday or Sunday with the kids.

Anyone if there are any discount codes about or vouchers available anywhere?

How long would it take to do the whole park?

Hi,

Not aware on any discounts .

How long really depends on yourselves & the ages of your kids. If you want to do the rides that will take a few hours . The queue time for the Viking voyage has been about 60 mins the last few weekends.

We live very close by & have the annual membership so are there quite a lot . My 2 love the rides & just doing that alone with no walk around the park to see the animals is usually good for a 2-3 hour visit.

Make sure you get your tayto's on the way out Grin

Leela96 · 04/05/2019 10:52

The 2-3 hours does not include the Viking voyage, climbing wall or the skywalk

UnPocoLoco2 · 10/05/2019 13:53

I am Irish but not been in Ireland in a long time. I don't like tayto as they are packed with msg. I think msg is E621 ( not 100%sure though) you'd think a country with such a high obesity rate ( worse than the uk I believe) for children would build perhaps a sports park or something similar instead of honouring a bag of tayto as god almighty.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 10/05/2019 13:59

If you went to Tayto Park, you'd see a lot more physical activity than crisp eating going on!

UnPocoLoco2 · 10/05/2019 14:05

I just find it bizarre that a theme park was built to honour a packet of tayto.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 10/05/2019 15:21

Well, it was built and paid for by Tayto, so it doesn't seem all that surprising to me.

Deadringer · 10/05/2019 15:43

Yes Tayto should build a theme park to slim down those fat Irish kids. And they should call it something else, maybe slim park or something. And they should stop making their crisps because unpocoloco2 doesn't like them, and produce carrot sticks instead. You should contact their pr team unpoco, I am sure they would be very interested in your opinions.

Deadringer · 10/05/2019 15:46

Op we spent about 5 hours there last year and we didn't get around all of it, even though there wasn't really any queues. One full day would do it though.

UnPocoLoco2 · 10/05/2019 16:10

@Deadringer 😂😂😂

MadeinBelfast · 10/05/2019 16:17

When we went my kids weren't really old enough for most of the rides but even wandering around, seeing the factory and animals etc took the best part of a day. I've been looking out for voucher codes to go now they are older but I've never seen any.

Apileofballyhoo · 11/05/2019 13:34

Dead ringer 😂😂😂

oldishladyinashoebox · 12/05/2019 01:30

It's just irresponsible for a government or council to give permission for a theme park dedicated to crisps in a country that has such a huge obesity problem.
It must have cost a fortune to fund and tayto are only sold in Ireland so that gives some indication of how many bags are sold in a single small nation.

oldishladyinashoebox · 12/05/2019 01:33

I've just looked it up. It even has a blooming zoo. Poor animals

Deadringer · 12/05/2019 11:48

They should close the Guinness storehouse too, and tell the millions of tourists that visit it to piss off home, after all alcohol is bad for you. And at all costs avoid taking your children to an outdoor theme park where they will get lots of fresh air and excercise and have a brilliant time. Op I am sorry you have had replies from arseholes who just want to talk about how fat Irish people are. Hope you have an amazing time.

oldishladyinashoebox · 12/05/2019 15:46

deadringer people are fat everywhere. It's just a shame it's being promoted at a theme park.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 12/05/2019 16:36

My kids have been to Tayto Park loads of times and it hasn't made them fat. I must be doing it wrong.

Deadringer · 12/05/2019 20:37

You have to force feed them crisps utterly

JaneJeffer · 12/05/2019 20:52

people are fat everywhere. It's just a shame it's being promoted at a theme park.
Tayto Park isn't promoting fat people. Fucking hell.

L1nkedOut · 12/05/2019 20:55

my daughter is going on Friday, she can't wait. They have ziplining I believe. I don't think it's any worse than calling theatres bord gais or arenas the 'o 2'.

L1nkedOut · 12/05/2019 20:56

sorry I mean the aviva. I'd rather think about crisps than insurance

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 12/05/2019 21:08

Qhat a bizarre turn

Errrr what has the ownership and spinserahip of a theme park got to do wirh the obesity crisis

Loco sorry just cos you dont like a brand its weird that you've contributed to this thread

So doea the national rugby and football (association) stadiam honour insurance i mean i thought it was just a place the national teams played but clearly no it was to honour and insurance company.

Does the point depot the number three??? I guess now TV3 is now virgin media someone has to honor such a marvolous number.

In britan what does alton towers honor?
Or chessington??

beanaseireann · 01/06/2019 08:57

If you're going, go early and head straight for the Cúchulainn.
Huge waiting time.
DD was there with her school and said it was brilliant but the queues !!!

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 01/06/2019 09:04

Or just skip Cuchulainn because it's flipping terrifying. I had actual bruises afterwards, not to mention the mental trauma.

beanaseireann · 01/06/2019 09:34
Grin No way would I go on it - I'm a complete wuss!
