Just so sad to read the news they'd found her body. What an awful thing to happen, her poor family and friends Sad How do people get over something like this?

What a sad weekend this has been. May she RIP 😥

Oh I saw the news that she was missing this morning, so so sad for her family and friends

Scoutsrus · 18/03/2019 17:35

Oh I’ve just seen that on Facebook. So so sad.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 18/03/2019 17:37

It’s awful. Was dreading hearing this news.Along with the 3 teens in cookstown this has been a very sad st Patricks day weekend.

RIP all.

Snipples · 18/03/2019 18:04

Such terrible news. The poor love. Such a tragedy now for that entire wedding too. Imagine having this happen.

EleanorLavish · 18/03/2019 22:28

Is it thought that she got in the water to swim? My DH seems to think so. Just so sad.
The 3 teens in Cookstown has been on my mind all day. Just tragic and horrific for all the kids involved.
Such a sad time.

SgtFredColon · 18/03/2019 22:30

Horrible news on both counts. I don’t know the details but both seem like entirely avoidable tragic accidents iyswim.

WoahThereMama · 18/03/2019 22:35

Her poor children. My heart breaks for them.
It’s been such a tragic weekend - so many young deaths Sad

beanaseireann · 21/03/2019 23:26

So very sad. A beautiful lady and three lovely children left motherless.
It's very tough in the bride to be too.

NeverTalksToStrangers · 21/03/2019 23:32

Wasn't it 7 deaths at the weekend? Awful.

I'm local so know plenty of people whose kids were at the Greenvale etc. The whole drugs thing has lost the psni a lot of respect over it. It's just so horrific. The rumours, the reality, the lives ruined, the fact that it was all totally avoidable. Everyone has just been so subdued about it all. Numb. Like it's so bad it just couldn't be real.

SleepDeprivedCabbageBrain · 21/03/2019 23:36

So terrible, I had hoped for a different outcome. Total heartbreak.

Are they any closer to finding out what happened at the Greenvale, NeverTalks?

NeverTalksToStrangers · 21/03/2019 23:48

They have cctv and have questioned over 140 wirtnesses I think.

There's a lot going around (the initial rumours on Sunday night when we got word of a major incident were of stabbings, drugs, stampede, fighting, wall collapsing) but I think the crux of it was that the door wasn't opened (I assume the gate too) and the crowd started to push. What happened after that is unimaginable with people falling on top of each other and fighting for air. Apparently they were banging on the windows of the reception area and were ignored. Where the bouncers were I don't know. There's other rumours about that too.

My niece had told me weeks ago about being in a queue for another nightclub around Christmas when people started pushing. She was saying she couldn't breathe etc. It put her off going out at new years. Pushing may be a thing now. Hopefully not any more. I remember a bit of jostling back in the day but nothing on that scale, obviously. Those kids probably were just messing around. Just horrific.

beanaseireann · 22/03/2019 07:28

Today there will be three funerals today in the Dungannon / Cookstown area. Just so very sad. My heart goes out to family and friends and all those affected by the tragedy.

SleepDeprivedCabbageBrain · 22/03/2019 21:27

Gutted - to think that it was pushing, absolutely preventable. My heart goes out to those families Sad

NeverTalksToStrangers · 23/03/2019 16:56

The pictures from the funerals are heart breaking. Very obtrusive for the families too probably.

I've since heard that pushing is a thing in schools too, teachers having to crowd control etc.

It'll probably mean a huge crackdown on clubs and pubs. So many nights out here are said to be over 18 but nobody 18+ would set foot in them. In our day most people were allowed to over 18s from about 14 or 15+. No id needed. It was just a given. But things are just so much more dangerous now, with more drugs, knife crime etc etc even mobile phones can ruin someone, I have to say I'll be relieved if there's no 18+ nights out for my kids until they are the right age.
