It's well referenced in Ireland with respect to case law. The standing ovation was amazing. She has made such a positive difference to the legal system in Ireland. Without her the system would be so much worse (than it already it).
She was the first person to take such a stand in Ireland. How brave. How inspiring.

In Clonmel RCC (which as you know is a small place), in that year of 1992 42 rapes, only 3 reported to gardai.
That has changed a lot now. In Cork today I'd estimate it's 1 in 3 reported to gardai.
