I kind of am. Apart from Irish produced single/raw ingredients I'd imagine the rest of my shopping is imported (even with Irish made products I'd say the ingredients are often imported).
I know we'll have shipments coming in from Europe but a huge proportion normally comes via the UK at Dover, by road acroos England and Wales and into Ireland that way, which is a lot faster than by boat from France. And if the UK is chaotic then there'll be long delays. Not to mind all the stuff that we import specifically from the UK.
So I'm thinking I need:
Rice
Pasta
Frozen veg
Tins of tomatoes/passata
Coconut milk
Curry paste/spices
Vegetarian protein options
Flour
Baking powder and breadsoda
Sugar
Tea
Coffee
Cooking oil
Treat things inc chocolate and ice-cream
Household cleaning stuff
People cleaning stuff
I thought we'd be fine for butter, milk, cheese, eggs and meat but would we be, for example, short on butter if shops were low on spreads and oil? And short on spuds if shops were low on rice and pasta?
There are a few own brand gluten free Tesco things I buy a lot, so they're something to stock up on. I'll do the same for M&S if I get around to it.
