Finding work

I’m thinking of moving to Ireland (near Dublin) where my partner is based.

I’m wondering about finding work. I work in a fairly specialised area (autism and Challenging behaviour, both family and school support). If I were to go to an agency here I would get work in an SEN school easily I have lots of experience, and I wondered if the same would apply in Dublin?

Would I need to look at updating my qualifications or looking in other roles. I have a degree in Ed Psychology and I have worked as a senior Teaching assistant, cover teacher and family support outreach. I’m not a qualified teacher and I don’t want to teach anyway.

Any help would be much appreciated

I imagine you'd be very well qualified to work as a Special Needs Assistant who is in the classroom supporting children with additional needs. They work in both primary and secondary schools. I think SNA's are employed directly by schools, have a look on this site https://educationposts.ie

Good luck with your move Smile
