Also “flowery or waxy” potatoes - do you think she meant floury Grin

hmcAsWas · 17/08/2018 15:17

Not one single clue!

StealthPolarBear · 17/08/2018 15:20

Lurking :)

AlonsoTigerHeart · 17/08/2018 15:22

My cousin used to live with someone who would mark everything he owned with his initial. Really, everything from towels to milk, cling film, oven gloves, eggs.
If he saw you with anything he’d say ‘better not be mine, it’s marked, I’ll know’

Perhaps she stole some mad bastards Bag stash

MadeinBelfast · 17/08/2018 15:22

Does she just mean that bags from grocery shops here are usually marked (name of shop etc) whereas in the US you tend to get a plain paper bag when food shopping?

JaneJeffer · 17/08/2018 15:24

I thought maybe it was bags of turf which someone had marked so she'd know which to take.

Anyone from Donegal who can shed any light?

Well I suppose if you leave spuds long enough they’ll flower Grin

IfIWasABirdIdFlyIn2ACeilingFan · 17/08/2018 15:51

PS that’s a day for throwing a lock of turf on the fire! Grin

ForumUsername · 17/08/2018 16:04
