Lovely win today for us. What is everyone doing for the rugby and/or St. Patrick's day?

I dunno, seeing Rory Best et al turning up to sit in the viewing gallery at the rape trial up in Belfast, has sort of put me off watching them run around a field.

Sullabylullaby · 25/02/2018 15:31

Good point. I'm not familiar with what is happening with them. Was Best asked to be a witness or something? I would have thought that if he could have distanced himself from the whole thing, he would have.

Every time I see Rory Best I feel nothing but disgust for him. He should have been dropped as captain. He's shown his true colours.

I can't bear rugby in any event, couldn't care less if Ireland lost every match they (not we - I'm not on the team!) played (or won, meh either way!). Not so fond of St. Patrick's Day as an event either, too many memories of marching in guide uniform in the pelting rain/freezing cold (why, oh why is our national holiday in March?!!). I do like the fact that it's a day off, so I will hermit up in my cosy house with the TV firmly on whichever channel isn't showing any bloody rugby and have a lovely day!

Sullabylullaby · 28/02/2018 09:43

Jeez - bah humbug eh? Grin

Well I'm looking forward to it. But we have to beat Scotland first and sod's law we'll feck that up.

I don't much like Paddy's day, but it's better now mine are no longer teenagers and I'm not worried about where they are.

Sullabylullaby · 28/02/2018 20:39

When is that game on Maryz?

I must admit when I saw your thread title, my first thought was “rape trial”.

Can’t feel good about Irish rugby at the moment.

sproutsandparsnips · 01/03/2018 22:29

I will be watching Wales v France Grin

Sullabylullaby · 02/03/2018 13:16

I'll be cheering on Wales sprouts!

Watching now.
A win would be great.

eloisesparkle · 17/03/2018 15:05

Posted too soon- A win would be great for the 'scummy' Irish ( as head coach Eddie Jones ) called our Irish team.
Usually rugby players/ followers in Ireland would be considered poshies not scummy Smile

eloisesparkle · 17/03/2018 16:48

👍

sproutsandparsnips · 17/03/2018 17:09

Congratulations to the 'scummy' Irish from someone who lives in the 'sh**ty little country!'

eloisesparkle · 17/03/2018 20:08

Ah thanks Sprouts
The nerve of him !

StripySocksAndDocs · 17/03/2018 20:13

Thought there was going to be a national crisis when Virgin lost TV3.

Well deserved win for Ireland. Great team and skill. Onwards to Japan!

Felt for Italy today.

eloisesparkle · 17/03/2018 20:38

It would have been great for the Italians and Conor O' Shea.

honeyrider · 18/03/2018 00:30

Hopefully Eddie Jones will not get the Lions team coaching job.
