DD1 (10) who has lived her whole life in either Scotland or Texas, upon discovering a distinct lack of bread in either the breadbin or the freezer, yelled up the stairs to me this morning "Fred! There's no bread!"

This is the regular response to a lack of bread in the house from all 4 DC and even from English DH. None of them have ever lived in NI, but clearly I have educated them all well.

Parenting pride right there.

They also all pronounce Primark correctly and can sing the 1980s jingle to prove their point. polishes halo

Any other Norn Irish/Irish diaspora have any moments of parenting pride?

My husband from belfast constantly tells me things i say have a perverse meaning in belfast like the word blert. I tell him im ulster scots and whatever he thinks things mean he is simply wrong .
