Rights of OW. Not married to my father. My parents not divorced.

Last year, my grandmother died leaving her house to my father. He already owns the farm as his father signed it over to him before he died.

I had reason to need to stay at my grandmother's house last year for a few weeks. My father was happy with this.

Anyway, I invited my own mother to visit me and the OW (who has been with my father 20 years) went apeshit.

Anyway, facebook was involved later that day. Consequently OW drove out to the farm/house to tell me with outstretched arms that 'I OWN ALL THIS'.

I told her that she was as thick as shit and my father is still married to my mother. She owns nothing.

My parents are legally separated but not divorced. Am I correct in thinking OW owns nothing but the shit on her boots?

Yes, and I'm asking you why and if you think the opposite is true. Can't you justify your opinions?

I think I personally don't associate it with the part of the body it was originally used to describe. It's just an expletive to me.

Deana
I don't need 'to justify my opinion'.
I would never use the word.
End of. Smile

It's not much of an opinion if you can't say why you think that though, is it?

Really Deanna ?

Yes, really. You said it's misogynistic, I asked you why you thought so and if the corresponding male terms were misandristic. You seem unable to answer. You don't have to, obviously, but why tell other people its misogynistic if you have no idea why you think that?

I think it's misogynistic too

It's a woman's body part being used as a slur.

It says there is something so awful about a cunt that it is offensive to call someone it.

I regard it as similar to calling people hysterical.

Finally I happen to like my cunt so I dont throw the word around as a weapon. Grin

As for the auld ones, they should definitely get some lawyers and sort themselves out.

Situation has the potential for a major and expensive farm losing row.

I've just read the whole thread, thanks for the laughs OP. Cunt is used a lot anywhere I've lived in Ireland and used in a variety of ways as posted previously and used equally about both men and women.

It's very expensive to get divorced in Ireland so much so that a lot of people don't bother. Even if you get divorced in Ireland a divorcee can still go back to the courts years later and make a new claim.

OP trust me it's not only Mayo farmers that view land as something sacred.
