Give me strength. It's going to be "at least" until Thursday. Not what you want to hear when gastroenteritis is running through the family like wildfire. As well as the added bonus of finding alternate childcare as the crèche has had to close.

Oh no.

Are you in Meath/Louth?

I suppose you'll have to bunker down.

Are you all sick, or can someone go for water from a dowser or tanker?

qazxc · 26/07/2017 07:23

Yep. We're not all sick (thankfully), but I'll never take a flushing toilet for granted again.
It's the fact that the finish line for the works keep getting shifted that worries me.

Not in your area but thinking of you. 'There but for the grace....'
It's a frightening prospect for the rest of us.

We are now on the rotation system. Sometimes we have no water, sometimes we have brown water, sometimes we have clear water. The pressure is dire and it doesn't reach all taps in the house. But at least we can flush toilet/ have a basic wash. There also doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason when it comes on. But it's better than nothing.
Am starting to daydream about sneaking onto a hospital ward to get a decent shower though. Wink

The pipe is fixed! Hopefully normal service will be resumed by next week.

Sounds like a third world country there doesn't it? That would be because no one gives a shit I suppose, manyana and " tis a grand soft day" at the very least I believe. There seems to be an endemic lack of general maintenance in all areas. Bone idleness I would say.
