I am a regular poster but have name changed for this post.
Just to say thanks for super customer service from a Dunnes manager in Stillorgan.
The item of clothing in my size was available in only one store down the country. It was not available online.
Dunnes don't do inter shop transfers but the manager said he'd try.....and he succeeded.
Credit where it's due.

That's a rarity as Dunnes are not known for good customer service, it's problem is too many upstart (borrowed from other thread but so apt) managers walking round with clipboards trying to look important and berate the staff on the floor.

honeyrider
I know they have a bad reputation but this time the manager came up trumps.
I have no connection to Dunnes whatsoever and you would have seen me post here under another name before ( just as I recognise your user name and know you from other threads). I just don't want to be recognised and like the anonymity of Mumsnet.
I do like my new user name Smile
I'm quick enough to complain when there is bad customer service.

It's great when you get good service especially when you weren't expecting it. I hope it becomes policy in all their stores.

PS I haven't a clue who you are, I'm usually hopeless with remembering usernames at the best of times. :)

Dunnes has been very notion-y of late so good to hear it.

hollyisalovelyname · 15/07/2017 13:52

Kanye
Their clothing range is lovely - Savida, Gallery, CD, Paul Costello etc
Homewares great too as is children's wear.
They have really upped their game ( and their prices Smile)

KanyesLunchbox · 15/07/2017 16:23

The women's wear is nearly all polyester though, Holly, and I've no intention of spending €200+ on Paul Costello and bringing it home in a Dunnes bag. I don't want designer labels or prices in Dunnes, I want decent basics and clothes children can actually wear. Fair enough the communion range is lovely and seems well priced (we haven't/won't be doing communion so it's not something I know much about) but for everyday wear the stuff for a 7 and 5 yo is pretty crap.

honeyrider · 15/07/2017 20:43

Paul Costello's stuff is very old fashioned and frumpy.

hollyisalovelyname · 16/07/2017 09:12

honeyrider I think it's a classic look Paul Costello is going for which suits some women.
Kanye I was a bit Confused when I saw the price of viscose coats by PC - I thought they must be silk at that price!!!

JaneJeffer · 23/07/2017 22:05

Ah come on who wouldn't want to buy this ?

The checkout staff in our local Dunnes are lovely but I actually complained about the customer service person which is totally unlike me to do but they were terrible!
