Heading to the city Good Friday and just wondering if the English Market will be open. It's kind of a bank holiday even if not official!

I love the English Market - when i had time (i.e in my twenties) i'd happily while away hours drinking coffee upstairs watching the world go by😊 I'm lucky if i can get in there once a year now and its generally a quick run around. Wouldn't put myself through the torture of bringing small kids in!

amber why no small kids? I haven't been in ages and will have 3.5 year old DD1 and DD2 in buggy.

Why no small kids? Probably because of how crowded it can be, and trying to manage a buggy/making sure young children who are beyond buggy stage keep with you is a bit of a headache. I love wandering around there, but my children are grown up now so no problem there! Try to get there early in the day when it won't be as busy, maybe.

I wouldn't bring young kids in as i'd have to keep telling them not to touch things, awkward to get buggy upstairs (if you go up), can be very crowded, i like to browse slowly and kids would get impatient.... i could go on...
