If NI goes to direct rule will England's abortion laws apply here?

I'm assuming direct rule is definite now?

So will we be subject to change of law regarding abortions? Will NI women now be entitled to NHS abortions in England and Wales as we aren't currently despite being UK citizens.

Nope, rule from Westminster vs Stormont is unrelated to NI having separate laws to England, so the separate positions on abortion will still apply.

I suppose technically it might be easier to change NI abortion legislation under direct rule, since MLAs won't be dragging their feet in fear of losing votes... But I wouldn't bank on it.

I knew it was wishful thinking but good to have a definite answer. Thanks mardhea
