Anyone gonna watch? Starts Sunday night on RTE. They are doing a group routine to Puttin' on the Ritz.

I'll give it a shot. I doubt I'll recognise anyone on it cos I never really watch RTE but maybe it'll fill the void left since Strictly finished. Doubt it, though.

I wish they had kept The Voice instead. I liked the banter between Bressie and Kian. I might put it on just to annoy DH and the DC's

I quite liked the Voice. I thought the Irish version was much better than the UK version, mainly because of the banter between Bressie & Kian.

Yes Drama it was much better than the UK one. The audience on the UK version always seem too loud in comparison. I will miss Kathryn Thomas' lovely dresses too!

The contestants on the Voice of Ireland were better too, IMO. And yes, I agree the audience were too loud on the UK one, which was a very over-produced show I thought.

Thought Aidan O'Mahony v. Good

I enjoyed it - though I am so thankful for being able to fast forward through some bits.. Fair play to the dancers - I couldn't do it!

I only got to see the last 20 minutes or so. Des Cahill brutal and Teresa Mannion stomping around!

I recorded it & I'm just watching it. Have to say I'm enjoying it much more than I expected to. And I actually recognise some of the contestants, so that's good.

Dayl's charleston was really good, and I liked Aidan too. I can't decide whether Des Cahill is going to turn out to be another Ed Balls, or another John Sergeant

I love the set, and Nicky and Amanda were fine as presenters. Except that I hated Amanda's dress.

I liked it. Didn't watch live so was able to ffwd all the ads!

Yes, there were a lot of ads. I usually record and watch later too so I can ffwd through them.

I didn't realise it'll all be done on one night - that's good, no risk of spoilers.

I enjoyed it but thought Amanda Byron was a bit wooden, she's usually better so maybe it was just first night nerves, her make-up/fake tan was very dark she needed a bit of colour, a bright lipstick would have lifted the look. I liked her dress and enjoyed all the "stars", they've put in a lot of work.

Shame as she is lovely looking.
I haven't seen the whole show. I'll watch on RTE Player.

Did anyone watch this week? I thought the judges were a bit harsh with their votes. IMO most of the female celebs were far better than most of the male celebs, but the leaderboard had a fairly even spread of male and female.

Hughie's fake tan. I have no words.

This week I recorded it and skipped through all the ads and Nicky Byrne's chatty bit (can't stand him), it was so much more watchable that way.
