Anton Savage leaves Today FM

Just heard that Anton Savage has left Today FM with immediate effect.
Apparently, there were disagreements between him and the station management so he's called it quits.
20 minutes after his announcement, Today FM posts an announcement to say that they weren't renewing his contract anyway.

Something is not right in the state of Marconi House.... (sorry for paraphrasing the Bard)

Love Anton Savage - think he has a light touch and a fantastic way of articulating things. He was a million times better than Ray at that job. I'm not particularly loyal to any radio station but if i'm in the car between 9 and 12 its Anton i'm listening to.

I think it's a real shame...I'll have nothing to listen to when I'm supposed to be working now

Anton is literally Savage. His Interview technique, research, knowledge, general fun all great.
Today FM have lost a listener in me anyway and I have been very loyal. It would be on in the car or home from 6am to at least 6pm every day.
That Fergal D'arcy is a bloody tool but I just kept him on for noise in the house before Matt cooper. If I was in the car he was switched over.

I'm just annoyed now.

His mother Terry Prone annoys me.
Just think, she is responsible for training those politicians to not answer difficult questions on decisions made that affect us hugely.---- This training is probably paid for by us taxpayers. Grrrr!!!!
She is very opinionated with a distinctive whiny voice.
